the air3 studio Completely rebuilt in January 2001, the proud home of Air3 1350 is the Ludlow McLaren suite, buried deep in the catacombs of Airthrey Castle (Well, round the back). The
studio features all the accoutrements you'd expect from a professional
radio studio - Minidisc decks, CD Players, Turntables, brand new PC's
running our own custom software and web interface, and at the heart
of it all, the custom-wired desk set-up by our own technical team.
As
well as the main studio, there is also a separate studio for group/discussion
programmes including What's The Score, Air3 Drama and Air3 News. This
is equipped with a large table and a separate production booth allowing
for lively debate and discussion, or for Drama purposes. Finally
there is the production suite, this is equipped with a state-of-the-art
PC loaded with audio software and allows DJ's and producers to prepare
items and jingles for their shows. The
studio has been extensively remodelled and designed in order to provide
a working environment as close as possible to that of a professional
radio station - as well as to allow DJ's to produce entertaining and
interactive quality shows for broadcast.
But for anyone out there whose head is spinning at all this technology,
relax. If you're interested in joining Air3
you'll soon discover that it's really not that hard. If you can use
a CD player, you'll find that we've made everything really easy, and
our new web facilities allow DJ's to interact with the listeners in
ways that were previously unimaginable. |
